Amanda Karatchoun, MD

Amanda Karatchoun, MD, joins Rutherford Surgical Associates with advanced training in minimally invasive surgery and expertise in digestive and colorectal conditions, colonoscopy, endoscopy, gallbladder disease, anti-reflux procedures, and hernia repair. She earned her medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, completed her general surgery residency through MAHEC in Asheville, and a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery in Washington, D.C. Dr. Karatchoun is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered surgical care close to home. Outside of medicine, Dr. Karatchoun enjoys family time, walks with her rescue dog Rocky, and preparing to welcome her first child this fall.
